Three for Me: Volunteering at Foothills

Three for Me—A Little Means A Lot
We would like to challenge all parents to pledge to volunteer at Foothills Elementary for at least three hours.
Benefits for Volunteering
What can a 3-hour promise really do?
1. Parents become more in tune to the needs of the school and students.
2. Parents keep coming back because they witness the positive school environment, a welcoming staff, and the child’s delight at seeing them in the school.
3. Communication between school and family significantly.
4. Events and programs will be run more efficiently with increased volunteerism/parent help.
5. The teacher’s load is lightened when more parents help in the classroom (example: creating bulletin boards,
reading or telling stories, etc).
6. Parents will get more connected and will understand the impact of involvement beyond attending a meeting.
7. By volunteering, you build stronger advocacy for children in the community
8. Businesses and community organizations will assist our efforts to increase parent involvement by offering sponsorships, partnerships, employee participation, visibility, and recognition.
