im saving all of these boxtops so that if my kid wins she'll just get fattened up? isnt there a better idea? i thought pta discouraged usinhg food as a reward.

This contest is at Halloween time and the PTA felt this would be a fun and appropriate reward. Many of the rewards children receive in the classroom are not food rewards.
Thank you for your input. For future contests we will consider giving pencils, fun erasers, bubbles or other non-food items.
All parents are welcome to join any of our PTA committees so that your input can be immediate and you can help in the planning stages of PTA sponsored events.

When the school receives the money from Box Tops (which is only twice a year), the PTA Board and Foothills Administration consider the needs of the classrooms and donate the money to fill those needs. This could be computers, PE equipment, etc.
If you'd like input on how this money is spent, we invite you to attend any of the PTA General Meetings, or contact any member of the PTA board or Foothills Administration.
